Delicate 100% silk placemats to dress up your tablescape. Cut and stitched by hand in Bihar, India. Though silk is especially difficult to work with, it is beautifully airy and offers a luster we love.
A time-consuming process, our artisan, Ruma, makes these in her home. Each piece takes 1-2 days to complete. Sold individually.
Pre-washed. We love them crinkled; iron out flat if a smoother look is preferred.

CARE
Hand-wash separately in cold water with a pH-neutral wool or silk detergent (or mild baby shampoo). Note: Standard detergents may contain harsh enzymes that degrade silk fibers and dull their natural sheen.
For oil stains, dust with cornstarch, leave overnight, brush off. For food stains, blot with a damp cloth and detergent before washing. For severe stains, professional dry cleaning is recommended.
Do not soak, scrub, or wring. Squeeze gently to remove excess water. Air dry flat in the shade.
Designed with a natural crinkled texture. To smooth, iron on low heat on the reverse side with a press cloth while damp. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.
