Conching Pitcher Cover

Handmade by Smiley in India, a lace cover that drapes over your pitcher or kettle—both a beautiful and functional addition to any table setting. Kettle and glass covers were once in every home, when meals were unhurried and table linens reflected a practice of presentation, care, and attention. 

Made through a traditional Pillow Lace technique, wherein a guide is set on a pillow and pinned in place, followed by repeatedly twisting and crossing threads held on bobbins to form a lace-like pattern.

Each piece takes 2-3 days to make and is made of pure cotton, designed to last with proper care.
