A beautifully faded a muted green and pink vintage rug from Kyrgyzstan. Traditionally called Shyrdak—a process wherein felted wool is cut then stitched on top of each other to reveal an intricate pattern. Shyrdaks were placed on UNESCO’s List of “Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding” as the craft is slowly disappearing. Excellent condition.
*Due to its age, slight imperfections are to be expected. We believe these add character, and do not diminish the function or value of each vintage/antique piece.
