Using traditional applique work and cloth as their paint and canvas, women artisans of a community in Kutch make one-of-a-kind pieces to tell their stories, experiences and sometimes hardships. Applique is one of the oldest art forms in the region of Gujarat, India. This piece is made by Nanuben.
All fabrics used are locally made, hand-loomed and vegetable dyed. Double-lined, with a slot at the back to allow easy hanging on a rod/pole. Only one piece.
